Regional Sales Manager - Construction
Our client is a leading distributor for one of the world’s largest manufacturer of outdoor recreation equipment as well all the amenities including shading, seating, surfacing and fitness equipment.
We are seeking to hire a Regional Sales Manager responsible for mentoring and developing a team of 6 (4 in northern CA and 1 in OR and 1 in WA) sales representatives.
The Sales Manager will develop and implement strategies to assist and guide the team to achieve their goals. Part of your role will be to take obstacles out of the way of the team, so they can sell and deliver more to their clients. Targets and Key Relationship building is dry for the team and these relationship include but not limited to; Architectural Contractors, Landscape Contractors, Builders, Housing Complexes, Schools/Education (Day Care, K-12+), Fitness Facilities, Recreation Centers and Retail.
Ideally seeking a Manager accustomed to working with a field team and managing a team producing approximately $20M.
Location: Northern California (Must reside in the Sacramento to San Francisco area)
Responsibilities:
- Mentor and coach a sales team
- Manage the development and performance of the sales team
- Recruiting, hiring and training new employees
- Develop and oversee strategic sales plans to increase sales revenue
- Create and implement sales processes and procedures
- Drive sales, efficiencies and promote growth within region
- Monitor the Sales team’s sales activity, analyze and report KPIs
- Collaborate with leadership to develop sales best practices
- Keep well-informed of available products/solutions, competitors, market trends
- Attend trade shows, conferences and events
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Min. 5+ years of B2B Sales Management experience
- Experience within the recreation, construction, architectural and/or commercial building supply industry required
- P&L management experience
- Experience mentoring and developing a sales team
- Background in change management and financial modeling
- Experience building sales processes and developmental plans for a sales team
- Ability to initiate and build relationships with key decision makers
- Experience with CRM system (Salesforce)
- Strong relationship and partnership building skills
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to travel within the territory up to 50%
Offering:
- Base Salary $140,000 - $175,000 (based on experience)
- Year 1 Base + Bonus Potential, Yr. 1 to $200,000
